Areas Covered For Delivery (E16, E17, E18)

The Victoria Docks and North Woolwich district, otherwise known as E16, includes the areas of Canning Town, Silverton, Custom House, North Woolwich and London City Airport and is looked after by Newham local authority. Canning Town and Custom House are currently undergoing renovation projects to improve the quality of life for its residents and build new housing. Once upon a time, these areas were only accessible by boat, as they were largely marshlands, although today they can easily be accessed by public transport. Victoria Docks is the largest of the docks in East London and home to the London ExCel Exhibition Centre, which hosts the London Boat Show. To find out more about London’s docks, why not check out the London Dockland museum.

Waltham Forest is the local authority for E17, the Walthamstow district of Walthamstow and Upper Walthamstow. Notable residents such as William Morris, Grayson Perry and Lethal Bizzle have called Walthamstow home during their lives. Admirers of William Morris should check out the William Morris Gallery, based in the former home of the designer and artist. Europe’s longest street market is also in Walthamstow, stretching over 100 metres down the High Street.

E18 comes under the umbrella of Redbridge, and is known as the Woodford and South Woodford district. Once a medieval settlement, Woodford is located near to Epping Forest, a beautiful park spreading over 6000 acres and offering visitors anything for horse riding to football. Once upon a time, the park was used by the Royal family as a hunting ground and as a consequence, mansions were built close by for other wealthy families in the 15th century. Hurst House, on Salway Hill, is a good example of the type of grandeur that was once common in the area. Famous residents of Woodford have included Winston Churchill, Sylvia Pankhurst and Ruth Rendell.
